From the blog of OCA Bishop Seraphim (Sigrist) comes an interesting interview with Antoine Arjakovsky, an Orthodox Frenchman and Professor at the Ukrainian Catholic University (the institution which now offers “the first distance learning Master’s program in Ecumenical Studies“).
In the interview, Professor Arjakovsky addresses why he, an Orthodox Christian of the Russian Tradition under the jurisdiction of Constantinople, teaches in a Ukrainian Greek Catholic institution. He strongly advocates closer contacts and cooperation between Orthodox living in the West and Greek Catholics, in spite of all of the embarrassment or even outright hostility towards their existence.
Also, If you are in the NYC area, Professor Arjakovsky will be speaking at Columbia University on May 5.
Thanks to Sean for his heads-up.
